The Texas Wendish Heritage Society’s Wendish Fest is an annual day of celebrating Wendish history and culture with food, live music, unique cultural activities, drinks, folklife exhibits, and demonstrations offering attendees an enjoyable Texas Wendish experience. The festival is FREE for the whole family to attend and we encourage visitors to support the festival’s activities, exhibits, demonstrations, and take a tour through the Texas Wendish Heritage Museum.
Activities include: Silent Auction, Museum Tours, St. Paul Lutheran Church Tour, Coffee Cake Bake-Off, Wendish Lunch Meal, Ptači Kwas (Birds’ Wedding Presentation by St. Paul Lutheran Students), Live Coffee Cake Auction, Entertainment by Jodie Mikula Orchestra, Children’s Stick Horse Races, Children’s Coloring Contest, Train Rides for Kids, Washer Pitching, and plenty of live demonstrations.
